WHAT IS 🪷 ISKCON ?

ISKCON, also known as the Hare Krishna movement, started in New York City in 1966 by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda. It's a global community with temples, communities, restaurants, and millions of members worldwide.

🕉️ Philosophy of ISKCON:

ISKCON follows the Gaudiya-Vaishnava tradition within Hindu culture. It's based on texts like Bhagavad-gītā and Bhagavat Purana, which teach about love for God, especially Lord Krishna.

💬 Chanting for Peace:

ISKCON devotees chant the Hare Krishna mantra, which is a prayer for deliverance. It goes like this: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

🌍 Universal Understanding:

God is known by many names like Allah, Jehovah, and Rama worldwide. ISKCON promotes the idea of connecting with God through love and chanting.
